Systems Administrator
As a member of IT, you’ll be supporting the business by administering all the aspects of systems, applications, networks and helpdesk. This company has a "do-what-it-takes" mentality and will stop at nothing to provide the best in training, online support and services.
Responsibilities:
  1. Responsible for administration and operational integrity `of all systems, applications, desktops, printers, networks, firewalls, hardware and software upgrades, security, tuning, throughput and problem resolutions.

  2. Monitor system performance to ensure peak performance for customers and to ensure the highest uptime.

  3. Analyze performance and usage trends; suggest upgrades for system enhancements to ensure end user demands are met.

  4. Prepare estimates for budgets and documentation for upgrades, replacements and support related costs.

  5. Provide application support for internal and external clients for related apps.

  6. Provide helpdesk support as assigned from internal and external clients for problem resolutions.

  7. Strive to improve the technology delivered to support the business by staying current with happenings in the information technology field.

  8. Participate in project evaluations and offer input related to execution and implementation as assigned by internal teams.

  9. Work closely with a cross functional team consisting of .net developers, DBA, designers and QA.
  10. Skills Desired / Experience
        • At least 2 to 3 years of experience in managing medium to large internet facing production environments that runs on the Windows platform.

        • Basic support for Macintosh / Linux environments
    • Good analytical and customer service skills.

    • Experience with Exchange 2007 / 2010

    • Good experience with administering MSSQL.

    • Understanding and exposure of monitoring technologies.

    • Understanding and exposure to high availability, clustering, disaster recovery, performance tuning, and optimization techniques.

    • Understanding and exposure to IIS 6, IIS 7.0 internals.

    • Conceptual understanding of TCP/IP, routing and switching technologies.
    • Provides technical assistance to other members of the group.
    • Excellent attention to detail, verbal/written communication skills, documentation skills

    • Excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.

    • Good understanding of ASP.NET in regards to administration.

    • Good experience with troubleshooting common desktop issues, WinXP – Windows 7 operating systems.
    • Ideal candidate would also have:
      • Experience administering a Cloud Computing environments like Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
