We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter looking to "dig in" and execute several priority projects around server and desktop virtualization, colocation, and SAN implementation/configuration. The individual should be highly technical with vast experience in blade, virtual and traditional server technologies as well as SAN/Enterprise storage. Additionally, the candidate should be highly action oriented with a compliance mindset.
7+ years of experience as a Systems/Storage Administrator, Engineer, and/or Architect 3+ years in a senior technical role Financial services industry experience preferred, not required Bachelor’s degree; Master’s preferred Certifications/Trainings a plus (e.g. VMWare, NetApp, Cisco, Citrix, Microsoft, etc…) Experience implementing/administering Cisco UCS, NetApp, and VMWare architecture with s specific focus on best practices and standards in a Microsoft OS environment Experience with ITIL and ITSM principals Experience with configuring SSD storage devices and configuring environments to meet high I/O requirements (e.g. virtualized databases) Ability to define, lead, and implement testing, benchmarking, and documentation of systems Demonstrated experience with regulatory and audit compliance with specific focus on implementing configuration standards across the systems Advanced knowledge of PowerShell scripting and demonstrated implementation of automation using such/similar scripting technologies Experience with the administration and implementation Backup, DR, and BC principals, technologies, and testing Excellent team work and customer service skills Strong analytical, communication and critical analysis mindset Ability execute several projects and competing priorities within SLAs and/or project constraints
