Help Desk-Salt Lake City

This is a 6 month contract with potential to hire. It is a tier 1-tier 2 help desk position, it will be both phone support as well as hands-on. Please email a resume renee.bush@rht.com.


Monitor system performance during daily, evening or weekend shifts.  Maintain end user’s desktop computers by installing, repairing and upgrading hardware and software for the Regional and International MLM market.  Resolve issues with the OE Database processes for the International market such as record locks; credit card driver malfunctions, printing issues, and program failures.   Run required nightly or weekend process jobs as needed.
 
Duties and Responsibilities - Essential
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair hardware and software for International Windows PC and MAC PC’s.

  • Provide help desk support to resolve Level 1 and Level 2 help desk calls for Operations, LAN and Telecommunications issues for the Distributor Services.

  • Provide primary application support

  • Maintain familiarity with PC Microcomputer evolution and industry ratings for equipment.

  • Complete file and archive maintenance such as deleting and restoring files.

  • Demonstrate ability to diagnose hardware and software problems. 

  • First contact, insuring building and data base security. 

  • Downtime communication and documentation

  • Phone and email support on all IT related issues

  • Service Desk accountability
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    • SW/HW ordering

    • On call for Holidays

    • Mobile phone support

    • Active Directory responsibility and functions
    • Qualifications
      • High School degree or equivalent. 

      • Must be able to install and troubleshoot Windows related applications.

      • Two years IT experience preferred with preference in IT PC/LAN support.

      • A+ Hardware/Software Certification or equivalent

      • Two years experience in maintaining PC.

      • Two years customer service experience

      • Ability to efficiently and effectively perform all essential duties in a safe manner

      • Excellent analytical and communication skills.

      • Ability to provide end user support for Macintosh computers preferred
